FAQs
What is a monthly marketed contact (MMC)?
An MMC is any person who run through an Inflection journey in a month.
If I send 3 emails to 1 person, does that only count as 1 MMC?
Yes. A Monthly Marketed Contact is a unique contact who goes through at least one Inflection Journey in that calendar month. If someone runs multiple journeys in the same month, they still count as one MMC for that month. MMCs are not the same as your total database size.
What does “Free unpersonalized batch sends (10x MMC)” mean?
You can send non-personalized batch emails—such as newsletters, announcements, or legal notices—to up to 10× your contracted Monthly Marketed Contacts (MMCs) each month at no extra charge. These are one-to-many sends without Inflection-style personalization; they are separate from counting unique contacts through journeys.
Typically, what percentage of the contact database ends up being an MMC?
It varies a lot by your audience, data quality, and how many contacts you put into Inflection Journeys. MMCs only include people who actually run through a journey in that month, so the active share of your database is often much smaller than 100%—but there is no single typical percentage. Your team can help you estimate based on your use case.
If I email 1 person 10 times within a month, does that count as 1 or 10 MMCs?
One MMC. Pricing is based on unique contacts who go through Inflection Journeys in a given month—not on the number of emails sent to each contact. One person counts as one MMC for that month if they are in scope of your journey activity.
